Design
All yo-yo's start life on the drawing board with a number of criteria to meet. Whether the main criteria is size, looks or playability it undergoes the same stringent procedures. Once the prototype has been drawn up it makes its way to the machine shop. The very latest C.N.C machines are used to produce the yo-yos, so the first step is to program the machine. Once programmed the aluminium bar is loaded and the machining process is under way. A few prototype models will be run and tested for weight, balance, playability and an all over size check will be performed on either a CMM (co-ordinate measuring machine) or the very latest digital visual comparator.
Final changes to the design will be made at this stage, drawings altered and printed off.
Constant checks will be done during machining to maintain accuracy of the component part. Final inspection, cleaning and assembly of components are done in a clean environment.
